Welcome to Gotham City! After the Cyber Wars, the city is swarming with armed drones by Wayne Industries and comedy has been outlawed. Well, except for the UCB Live that sucks young talents dry in an unabashed pyramid scheme and divides them into stars, aka Jokers, and supporting cast, aka Harlequins. A disillusioned stand-up newcomer (Vera Drew) decides to take a stand with other outcasts and starts an underground club called Anti-Comedy with deliberately cringe and bad-taste acts. On its stage she finds her first love and also a much more confident and completely deranged version of herself. She then adopts the name Joker the Harlequin and embarks on a wild crusade against „masked justice“ that is nothing but a bad joke. Thirty years after the Joel Schumacher films comes a Batman pastiche that is totally weird, queer, and shimmers with all neon colors. Finally!
