When it comes to the supposedly bad-luck-date of Friday the 13th, it’s hard not to immediately think of a hockey mask, a machete and a dwindling population instructors and teens in a summer camp. Hence, we took the opportunity to invite one of the screen’s most iconic serial killers, Jason Voorhees, to our festival. From the currently thirteen-part oeuvre we selected the sixth one, since it undoubtedly is the most entertaining one – not just in terms of the number of the unsuspecting victims of the man behind the mask, but also thanks to the fast pace, the characteristically 80s atmosphere and the inventiveness of the bloody proceedings. No need to worry if you have not seen the previous parts of the series, since the story is typically straightforward and you will actually not be bothered by the logical gaps between the series’ episodes. All you need to know, is that Jason lives, which soon will not be the case of the new set of teens heading to the place he calls home, Camp Crystal Lake.
