Touch Me

Psychosexual sci-fi horror that rubs you the wrong way in all the right places. Brace yourself for the most deranged midnight movie of last year’s Sundance that tells a surprisingly true story of a breakup between best friends. Well, sort of. The hyperactive plot of writer/director Addison Heimann’s film Touch Me (2025) also features seductive alien tentacles, a pretentious saviour in colourful tracksuits, gallons of blood, end of the world, toxic exes, and a random geyser of shit. In the center of this neon-drenched madness is Joey, who lives with her trust-fund gay friend Craig after fleeing from her abusive ex, Brian. The pair’s co-dependent friendship is based on a patchwork of mental diagnoses, taking drugs together and bitching about their jobs, hook-ups or families. All that comes to a sill when a plumbing problem forces them to move into Brian’s luxurious house and his other-worldly charm quickly persuades them to form the most dysfunctional polycule imaginable. But behind Brian’s promises of comfort there lies a slimy secret that threatens everybody on this planet – and the two fucked up friends might be humanity’s last hope.
