Director William Fruet has quite a few B-category flicks under his belt. Fans of this type of cinematic guilty pleasure are probably familiar with jewels like Spasms (1983) or Trapped (1982). This year we present his giant insect feature Blue Monkey (aka Insect! aka Invasion of the Bodysuckers) inspired by 1950s horrors as well as later classics like Alien. You are invited to an unusually well-equipped hospital, filled not only with some nasty vermin but also more or less quirky characters who turn the whole story into a mosaic of comic relief and suspense. The film will be dubbed live from stage into Czech by our three Shockproof patients Samantha Bifidus, Jíra Fostrá and Josef Vokurka, so you better start practicing your Czech, folks!
