The Borrower, an inglorious videotrash jewel from the wacky nineties, is coming back to theaters (well actually just this one)! A bizarro movie par excellence from the madman John McNaughton who came up with the groundbreaking Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. In Borrower McNaughton also dissects the mindset of a crazed serial murderer. This time, however, he dives in headfirst with grotesque exaggeration. The rare gem follows a monstrous insectoid who rips the heads off random victims to preserve his human form. What more could you want from a decent, tasteful film? In addition, this lovely B-movie masterpiece features the period’s rising star Rae Dawn Chong (Commando) and blaxploitation icon Antonio Fargas (Shaft, Across 110th Street). The brutal, supremely weird and yet hilarious flick will literally make your head spin!
